Now… Make it 3D…
My third technical stitch frame focused on raised work embroidery, building on historical techniques studied in our History of Embroidery classes from 1600–1800s examples. We practiced various 3D methods, including trapunto, picots, needle lace, wired shapes and stuffed felt padding.
My Design:After completing these samples, I adapted my original design to suit raised work, creating a piece featuring 3D elements over a padded felt base.
